Ecuadorian Navy

The Ecuadorian Navy (Armada del Ecuador) is responsible for the surveillance and protection of national maritime territory, protecting a coastline of 2,237 km which reaches far into the Pacific Ocean.

The mission of the Ecuadorian navy is to:

Defend the sovereignty and integrity of jurisdictional maritime spaces, protect activities, resources and infrastructure in aquatic spaces, and support national maritime development and comprehensive security, using and developing naval power, exercising the powers of national maritime authority, and promoting maritime interests, in order to contribute to the defense, security and development of the State, as well as to regional and world peace.‍
